Abstract: The availability of sufficient large amounts of polymers with narrow molecular weight distributions have ever been a big desire for polymer scientist because these samples are of great importance in basic research. In this contribution we describe our experience with a new large scale fractionation technique, called Continuous Spin Fractionation. We choose polysaccharides and two of their derivatives to demonstrate the fractionation power of these method. For Pullulan it could be shown that the Continuous Spin Fractionation is considerably more efficient than the precursor method named Continuous Polymer Fractionation.
